Geology of late-Variscan Sàrrabus pluton (south-eastern Sardinia, Italy)

This paper deals with the geological mapping of late-Variscan Sàrrabus pluton, (south-eastern Sardinia), a shallow multiple and composite igneous complex dominated by several generations granodiorites, metaluminous peraluminous granites repeated pulses mantle-derived mafic magmas. The map has been compiled based on surveys at 1:10,000 1:5,000 scales, assisted in situ gamma-ray spectrometry detailed petrographic investigations. Granite-related ore deposits have also reported. emplacement age pluton can be constrained U/Pb dating zircons Cala Regina granodiorite, yielding an 286 ± 9 Ma. resulting scenario documents bimodal magmatism controlled EW trending shear zone, followed shallower independent granite
